here's an experiment you can try yourself at home
skip the process of labeling emotions 'positive' or 'negative'
labeling only limits your perception
and judging your own emotions just queues the ego to manifest some perception to justify that judgement (who needs that?)
try thinking of emotions as a vibrational frequency instead
happiness, excitement or joy being higher and sadness, anger or grief being lower
then its not hard to see that balance is key to maintaining those higher frequencies
